CCE has released an update to its multi-CAD viewing, translation and productivity software.
EnSuite Version 2 is said to have a range of new features such as the ability to view two models superimposed on each other with the differences highlighted. It allows operators to isolate a part from a complex assembly by rendering the other parts transparent, and also has parameter value-based feature search ability.
The “compare parts” functionality in this latest version allows users to control how the difference between two models is highlighted. Users can choose from colour highlights, or different levels of transparency.
This feature is said to be useful when comparing a first article submitted by a vendor to the original design intent, or tracking the evolution of a design over time.
Users of the software can enter a value or a range of values for the dimensions of fillets, chamfers or holes, and the search function will highlight all the features in a part that match the search criteria.
The software offers other new features, allowing operators to measure geometric dimensions, cut cross-sections and check properties such as perimeter, area, volume, etc.
According to the company, the software is for companies that work with different CAD systems. It has a range of viewing, translation and productivity tools for interoperability with software such as CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER, Unigraphics, SolidWorks CAD systems, Parasolid, IGES and STEP.
