SIEMENS PLM Software has launched the next version of its Solid Edge CAD software with synchronous technology, said to feature new history-free, feature-based design technology.
Solid Edge is the core CAD component within the vendor’s Velocity Series portfolio. The new version includes a number of new features such as an interactive design paradigm, faster editing tools, native multi-CAD and 2D/3D workflow integration.
According to the software developer, it allows users to develop 3D models without any pre-planning, speeding up design by 100 times.
The software can also work on imported CAD data in the same manner as native models, meaning all tools can be used to make changes in files created by other software.
