CADDIT has released the latest version of a bundle of computer-aided design and manufacturing software.
The progeCAM CNC 2008 bundle consists of progeCAD 2008 Standard and Dolphin PartMaster CNC, unified with an integration module. It is said to guide ideas from concept sketch to design, detailed drafting and manufacturing.
The software bundle comes in two versions. Basic is an affordable entry-level 2-dimensional mini milling package suited to hobby CNC, table routers and woodworking. Industrial manufacturers are recommended to use the Professional version.
progeCAM 2008 Professional is said to have maximum flexibility with 3-dimensional back plotting, custom post processors, toolpath macros and DNC functionality. This version is exclusive to Australia, New Zealand and limited parts of Asia-Pacific.
According to the software developer, the product is suited for wood working, and metal and laser cutting. Applications can be found in the furniture, original equipment manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, building maintenance, and other custom manufacturing sectors.
The progeCAD software included in the bundle is able to integrate AutoCAD blocks into CNC designs. It also has AutoCAD style drafting functionalities and is compatible with DWG 2008.
