PLANIT will release a new version of its computer aided design/computer aided manufacture (CAD/CAM) software for sheet metal applications at National Manufacturing Week 2008.
Radan 08 has integreated features to enable design, nesting, punching, profiling, folding, drawing management, cost estimation and document distribution.
The software is compatible with Windows Vista, and supports new 3D CAD file translators. It now supports functionality such as material thickness auto-detect and joggle support from software like RadbendCNC.
It is also compatible with AutoCAD 2008 dwg format files. The import function automatically maps and filters colours, and results in better geometry and smart shapes functions.
