TRUMPF has released TruTops Unfold version 1.3, which supports the latest 3D CAD formats.
According to TRUMPF, the increased format support in TruTops Unfold 1.3 means manufacturers gain better independence regarding incoming 3D CAD drawings.
TruTops Unfold now supports a multitude of 3D CAD formats, including current SolidWorks-2009 files and Inventor files up to and including 2009.
Other new features in version 1.3 of the software include a more clearly arranged tool selection. Tool lists from TruTops Bend can be imported in TruTops Unfold.
In TruTops Unfold, users can generate bumping bendings for big radii. The big radius is then generated approximatively in several bending upstrokes.
TruTops Unfold prepares all of the necessary 3D data for processing a piece of sheet metal quickly and unfolds them. The resulting 2D data is ready for production in the TRUMPF GEO format.
