SOANAR is distributing Wincomm’s WTP-8865 panel PC for industrial applications with harsh and bridge lighting.
Wincomm’s IP65 rugged WTP-8865 panel PCs have low reflective touch panels. The WTP-8865 panel PCs may be used free-standing or mounted on a swivel arm as human machine interfaces for CNC machines.
Soanar claims the WTP-8865 panel PC may also be used as shop floor terminals at chemical and steel plants where there is high exposure to liquid spray, heat and air-borne particles.
The WTP-8865 enclosure has been designed without any exposed ventilation slots or housing gaps. For I/O connections, each PC has a sealing cover with seven waterproof connectors. The optional PCMCIA slot may be covered with a sealing plate, and the wireless modules have waterproof antennae.
The WT-8865's computing core is Intel's latest Atom N270 processor with Mobile 945GSE Express chipset. As the system is completely sealed, Wincomm has implemented multiple thermal sensors to continuously monitor those temperature critical components.
