SIEMENS PLM Software has released NX 7.0 with HD3D and enhancements to synchronous technology.
According to Siemens PLM, NX 7.0 is a visually-assisted tool which aids in the decision-making process, especially where product development teams are scattered in a variety of international locations.
HD3D is an open visual environment which Siemens PLM claims helps product development teams enhance their ability to make effective product decisions. It will accept data from a variety of sources to create a new standard for high definition visual analytics in product development.
The implementation of HD3D in NX 7.0 will enable users to visually interrogate and evaluate a product design based on any type of data tracked in Teamcenter or NX, such as release status, weight thresholds, material type, delivery status, etc.
Siemens PLM claims the enhancements to synchronous technology in NX 7.0 will also help further accelerate a variety of product development tasks, and expand the ability of the software to work with data from third part CAD applications.
Synchronous technology as it is implemented in NX 7.0 will aid in faster geometry creation and editing tools, accelerating the tasks associated with creating and modifying designs.
New clean-up tools enable faster and easier editing of models imported from third-party CAD systems.
