SIEMENS PLM Software has released Solid Edge software with synchronous technology 2, with faster error-finding functions.
According to Siemens, Solid Edge with synchronous technology 2 is suited for part and assembly modelling, sheet metal, CAE and PDM.
The release is the second version of Solid Edge to incorporate Siemens PLM Software’s synchronous technology.
Solid Edge with synchronous technology 2 is said to allow quicker modification and generation of files, resulting in quick returns on investment based on productivity gains.
Designers and modellers from Coromal Caravans, a division of Fleetwood, reported that Solid Edge with synchronous technology has removed much of the frustration associated with design processes. Fleetwood is a leading Australian manufacturer for mobile accommodations for retirement, recreations and resource development.
According to Coromal Caravans, the software’s intuitive history-less structure provides greater creative freedom while maintaining mechanical integrity.
Siemens says Solid Edge combines the speed and flexibility of direct modelling with the precise control of dimension-driven design. The latest release extends synchronous technology deeper in the product with improved part and assembly modelling as well as a new sheet metal application.
Solid Edge is available in Australia from Edge Software.
