SIEMENS has released the KTP1000 Basic and TP1500 Basic SIMATIC human machine interface (HMI) panels suited for basic operator control and monitoring tasks.

According to Siemens, the SIMATIC KTP1000 Basic has a ten inch display, while the TP1500 has a 15 inch display. These two units are the first in the Basic HMI line.

Siemens claims the SIMATIC HMI Basic Panels cater for simple applications. It claims the basic visualisation tasks mean the smaller sized touch screen devices, ranging from four inches to 15 inches, are sufficient.

The SIMATIC HMI Basic Panels have fully graphics-capable displays which allow for a clear and high-contrast depiction of operating screens.

Besides the touchscreen operation, the KTP400 Basic has four configurable keys with tactile feedback, while the KTP600 has six and the KTP1000 eight. All devices, support basic functions such as alarm system, recipe management, trend curve depiction and language switching as standard.
