IDEAS International has launched web-based tools to help companies with IT infrastructure minimise electricity usage and costs, and reduce their carbon footprint.
The Carbon Calculator is part of a web-based database and analysis tool called Server Consolidation Analysis Resource (Server CAR).
The tool calculates current and proposed electricity costs and savings, and carbon dioxide equivalent emissions and reductions. Results are provided in localised currency and units of measurement.
According to the company, its tools help with server consolidation planning to reduce maintenance and administration costs related to their IT equipment and infrastructure.
