JETCAM International has released a new version of its computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CADCAM) and nesting software for all computer numerical control (CNC) punching and profiling machines.
The latest version of Jetcam Expert is V16. According to the company, it has a series of new features which provide enhanced functionality for interactive tasks, as well as more automation for semi or completely unmanned solutions.
Jetcam Expert V16’s sequencing routines are said to have been optimised to improve the cutting path. This may reduce the overall cutting time of complex nests.
A new reporting engine will provide customisable reports, which can be further configured by using a report designer. Fields, tables of information, component images and complete nest images can be added to reports by drag-and-drop.
The company also claims to have optimised automatic tooling placement logic, to provide a high level of automation to punching machines.
V16 will be available for download from Jetcam in February 2008.
