JEMTECH has released a dual axis control to its range of software modules for its PRAXXIS control systems.
According to Jemtech, the dual-axis controls were designed to provide synchronised movement for backgauges and nut-stop presses. The system features two encoder inputs for each axis.
The outputs control the forward and reverse movement and the speed of each axis. The control software includes backlash compensation, automatic positioning retry and stop-time compensation.
The display is a capacitive touch panel which is resistant to contaminants. The keys are sensitive to touch and can be worked even with heavily gloved fingers.
Jemtech says two of its dual axis control systems were recently installed on a 1000t press. The customer had reconditioned the press and required control of the nut-stops on the machine slides as well as the two drives at the end of a large backguage.
The single software module was able to provide the control function for both axes making it easier for the operator to use only one type of system.
