INDEPENDENT research source BERTL has tested Oce’s colour scanners and concluded they are a good choice for computer aided design (CAD), geographic information system (GIS) and reprographic applications.
The 36 inch and 42 inch CS4100 series colour scanners were tested, and found to be reliable, high quality units with good colour-capture accuracy.
According to the company, its scanners provide high quality scans even if the originals are poor. They are capable of scanning thick or rigid material originals, have image-enhancement functions, and support the JPEG, PDF and TIFF formats.
The bundled software and process is said to provide full support for every step of the scanning process. It includes navigation and operation structures, as well as automated calibration.
