GE Intelligent Platforms has released the Industrial Gateway Server (IGS) 7.5 driver, designed for its Proficy software.
GE claims the Industrial Gateway Server (IGS) 7.5 driver is an enhanced offering, which uses industry-standard Kepware KEPServerEX and driver technology. It is also said to include more than 100 protocols enabling connectivity to thousands of different control hardware and instruments.
According to the company, IGS 7.5 provides users with an opportunity to consolidate information from different control hardware and instruments to visualise, control, analyse and optimise via connected Proficy HMI/SCADA, MES, EMI or Workflow software.
GE says the enhanced IGS 7.5 application is designed to support remote and offline configuration options without disrupting communications.
Existing GE customers can upgrade to the IGS 7.5 and access all the new device connectivity options.
