CADDIT says the Alibre Design V12 CAD/CAM software is now available in Australia.
CADDIT Alibre Design is used for mechanical and industrial design, and includes CNC manufacturing and direct STL prototyping interfaces.
According to CADDIT, version 12 of the software has various enhancements, including the faster editing of large assemblies, compatibility with CATIA and Inventor files, and advanced sheet metal, 3D sketch and text tools.
CADDIT claims Alibre Design offers features common in products like Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks, but at a lower cost.
The new 3D Text feature tool allows users to emboss text as a parametric part feature, while the advanced sheet metal shape flattening capabilities include contour, lofted and profile flange with tapered corners.
CADDIT offers local support for Alibre Design in Australia and is based in Sydney.
